There is nothing like a woman scorn. This is not a romance novel by any means. This is revenge pure and simple. Maxxwell takes us through the life of Delilah. We share in her pain that is so deep and we share with her as she comes out and seeks out those who destroyed her life. The simple pain of being betrayed is devistating but Delilah suffered the worst betrayal. I can't even imagine what she went through.
This is a hilarious take on what every woman who has ever been cheated on dreams to do. Hilarious, because even her sexual prowess doesn't keep this heroine from making silly mistakes. Hilarious because the trance like state that the men fall into is strangly familiar. There are sexual scenes and some unholy language, so buyer beware. But if that's what you were looking for, that's what you will get. There is a mildly surprising plot twist, so that too makes for good reading. Thanks again Lexi.
Cheated is about the revenge Delilah needed to get her life back together after having it destroyed by the man she loved and her only friends. Revenge is not about getting even; it is about getting ahead.
Delilah sank into the deep pit of depression and had to climb out of that dark chasm by herself. With that comes the hate created from the hurt caused intentionally by others and having to find a release for the pain inflicted by those thought to be friends. Those people close always know where a victim is most vulnerable. This story is woven with current events and the back story that led to the pain and the erotic story of revenge.
This is a Lexi Maxxwell book so to say the plot revolves around very explicit sex would not likely give away the story line. The reader is drawn into the story so deeply they soon are cheering Delilah on to victory. The range of emotions runs the full gamut and shows Lexi's ability to involve the reader in this erotic tale.
I purchased this book as part of Lexi Maxxwell's "Alphabet" series. Cheated is one of the best written stories from Lexi that I've read. I look forward to "Anticipation" and "Bitten"; the first two books in this series.
This is definitely another hot and racy novel for Maxxwell. She’s off and running from the first page. Her usual in-your-face writing style, that we’ve come to know and love, brings this story to your mind’s eye in vivid clarity, making it next to impossible to put down. Maxxwell’s latest main lady takes us on a uniquely thought provoking yet immensely hot journey of self-discovery and plotting. The intricate story line balances well with the off centre couplings that we find throughout. My biggest issue with this novel was the fact that for the first ¼ of the book I felt like I was missing a key piece of information. Everything was revealed in the end, but up until them I was left wondering what in the world started this. It is definitely a brilliant read for someone looking for racy revenge and a quick, hot read.

THIS IS A MUST READ THE BEST REVENGE IF YOU ASK ME. LEXXI YOU DID IT AGAIN BETRAYAL IS HARD BUT EVERYONE GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED. I COULD NOT STOP READING. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GREAT STORY WITH HOT NINJA SEX.
This book was like the rest of the author's books. It was well thought out, the characters were realistic in their motives and their feelings were genuine, and the hot spots were truly that. Main character Delilah sets out to do wrong to those that have wronged her just like I'm sure we have all wanted to do at one point or another, but along the way the author does have her question her motives and what has become if her life. My one complaint and hence the four instead of five stars is some of the dialogue. At some points in is too over the top and at some points unrealistic and as a result it threw me out of the story. That aside the story is very good and Lexi proves she is very good too.
